DRAMATIC CHANGE IN ONLY FIVE DAYS

FIVE DAYS!! Below is a short video of Isabella, a PROFOUNDLY dyslexic 10 year old girl, who did not recognise a SINGLE letter of the alphabet before she experienced the Davis methods.

After years of trying every intervention available, Isabella had not learnt a single letter of the alphabet. Then her mother attended a 4-day Gift of Dyslexia workshop, and straight after that she started a DIY programme with her daughter at home. This resulted in Isabella learning 8 letters of the alphabet at home in 4 weeks, before attending a professional 5-day Davis Dyslexia Correction programme.

FIVE DAYS LATER - in the morning of day five - Isabella was reading as you can see in the video.

Isabella learns to read in 5 days

Lectures

We offer free lectures to schools and other organisations about dyslexia and related learning challenges.

INTERVENTION

2-year improvement in five days!

Dyslexia

Traditionally dyslexia has been viewed as a disability and many remedial approaches focus on coping strategies involving drill and repetition. Our approach treats dyslexic intelligence with respect and uses it to address learning problems.

AD/DHD

Offering a drug-free approach, the Davis Attention Mastery Programme enables people with AD(H)D to master certain logic concepts, which are critical for success in life and learning. These concepts include consequence, time, and order, and help the individual to successfully take charge of his life.

Dyscalculia

Dyscalculia is when a person struggles with maths. This typically happens to learners who need full understanding and hands-on exploration rather than rote learning or repetition. The Davis math mastery programme uses plasticine clay to master the underlying logic and true meaning of mathematics.

Autism

The Davis Autism Approach offers a simple way to help individuals on the spectrum to participate more fully in every aspect of life. We also empower parents and careers by providing an insider’s view of autism, as Ronald Dell Davis, the originator of the Davis methods started out in life as a non-verbal autist.

Young Learners

The Davis Reading Programme for Young Learners is a 30-hour training for early learners and their parent(s). The child and parent learn strategies to maximize learning and minimize effort. This provides essential tools and skills for early reading success and lays a foundation for lifelong love of learning.

ASSESSMENT

Is the Davis Method for you?

Assessment
Free Online Dyslexia Screening

This free and confidential screening assessment will give a profile of learning strengths and weaknesses, including a measure of severity of symptoms. Your answers are confidential. You do not need to provide any personal information to complete this assessment.

Personal Davis Assessment

The Davis assessment allows us to find out if you are likely to benefit from our programme, and design a tailor-made programme just for you. Through the assessment we create a unique symptoms profile, highlighting both your strengths and weaknesses.

Formal diagnosis

The Professional Davis training does not license facilitators to give formal diagnosis, as you do not need this in order to receive a Davis correction programme. Should you wish for a formal diagnosis, we can point you in the right direction to find professionals qualified to provide you with an educational assessment.

The Gift of Dyslexia Workshop

This 4-day (30 hour) professional workshop is open to anyone interested in our methods. It is an introduction to the basic theories, principles and application of all the procedures described in The Gift of Dyslexia. Training is done with a combination of lectures, demonstrations, group practice, and question and answer sessions. Attendance is limited to ensure the highest quality of training.

Davis Learning Strategies

In this two-day workshop we train mainstream teachers in effective reading instruction. In pilot classrooms, these methods eliminated the need for special education placement for at-risk students. Strong readers gained stronger language and grammar skills, and weaker students learned to read effortlessly. Gifted education placement from pilot classrooms exceeded national averages.

Davis Stepping Stones

This ground-breaking workshop forms the beginning steps to the Davis Autism Approach is a holistic program, developed to assist you in helping your child/student who may be on the autistic spectrum and/or struggling to meet early childhood development milestones. This workshop is now available online, and given sufficient demand we will organise an on-site workshop locally.

ABOUT

The Davis Difference

We view dyslexia as a result of an inherent mental gift or talent.

People who develop dyslexia think in pictures, rather than words; they are imaginative and creative; and they try to solve problems by looking at the whole picture, rather than working step-by-step.

Davis Dyslexia Correction is a strength-based approach that harnesses the mental talents that dyslexic people share to overcome the learning problems. To do this, students must use different strategies than are commonly taught with remedial programs.
